Exhibition Piece by *Brooke-star shows us creepy little sculptures with a nightmare-ish feel to them and a great level of detail, especially considering their small scale.

Description
EDIT 29thAug2010: I've just seen the DD!!! I'm so thrilled!!! It's been a dream of mine for some time now, so thank you so much to Wakerra for suggesting the piece, and MyntKat for featuring it
This was the first attempt at sculpting i've ever done, and although there are lots of things i'd re-do if I were to go back, i'm so happy with how it came out. I've now been learning to sculpt digitally, and I want to recreate these guys in digital form, so look out for that in the near future
Thank you so much again, i'm honoured

FAQ (based on questions asked in the comments):
What was the idea behind them?
Initially I wanted to make some monster sort of things emerging from another world/dimension. It ended up as a Pandora's Box-esque idea of little demons entering our world through a box/portal sort of thing. My original idea was to have an absolute ton of them pouring out and down the podium at the exhibition, but I didn't have time. Six will do
What are they made of?
Sculpey/Living Doll clay... I bought a few and tried them out to see which I liked best.
How big are they?
They are about 6" in height.
How long did they take?
Each head took a couple of hours and the bodies took longer due to their awkwardness. You can see the work-in-progress shots in the 3d section of the gallery - there are loads more, I might make a complete w-i-p deviation. All the heads were made first. The swirly one took a very long time, as each swirly bit took 5 mins to make and attach properly. And then they'd fall off
What were they for?
They were my final piece for my Art Foundation course. Funny enough, I was actually doing Illustration, not sculpture, but me being me decided to do something complicated and challenging which i'd never done before
Where are they now? Can I buy one?
They're smashed up in a box in someone's office at my old uni, i'd imagine They were SO fragile that if you breathed on them they pretty much broke. Which they did a lot - there was a lot of trauma with superglue. I left them there, as they'd break if I took them on a journey home, and at least they could be seen for a bit longer in the exhibition.
I'd love to have been able to sell them, although i'd have to have a very long hard think about how to transport them safely to their new owner. Due to all the recent interest in purchasing them, i've decided that I might make a couple more and put them up for sale. I also take commissions, ya know Prints are available here [link]
